Scraped Surface Heat Exchanger - Labrotary Type
It is a heat exchanger especially designed to be used for hygienically heating and cooling of food or personal care products with high viscosity, sticky and granular properties. It is suitable for use for highly viscous products. It is suitable for using materials with different properties as heat transfer material. Compared to other heat exchangers, it exhibits much superior qualities in terms of heat transfer.
Thanks to its special design, Interm performs heating or cooling processes with an ideal heat transfer. The product pumped over the cylinder is turbulent on the surface of the system with the help of retarders and blades and heat exchange is carried out. The product enters the cylinder from the bottom and flows upwards. Its rotating blades continuously remove the product between the cylinder walls to provide homogeneous heat transfer to the product. Cylinder and rotor speed can be changed in accordance with product flow and product characteristics.
Two identical heat transfer surfaces to ensure optimum heat transfer.
Efficient heat transfer by the entire surface of continuous scraping.
Large heating surface per machine.
General functions
Heating and cooling of fluid products that take the form of a film layer on heat transfer surfaces.
Crystallization process.
Heating and cooling of products containing particles exhibiting different physical and chemical properties.
Cooling of liquids in which phase change is expected.
It can be manufactured in different configurations and from different materials in accordance with the special requirements of the product to be used. The standard type Interm consists of a heat exchanger cylinder with an inner diameter of 152 mm and a heat exchanger surface with an area of 0.28 m2. Different sizes of heat exchangers can be produced according to different needs. In all models, all surfaces in contact with the product are 316L stainless steel. It is designed to be used with all products and heat transfer materials between -34.4 degrees and 149.0 degrees. The maximum working pressure is 20.7 bar at 149.0 degrees for the product to be heated/cooled, and 17.2 bar at 149.0 degrees for the heat transfer agent. The noise created by the heat exchanger during operation is around 72 db. All parts of the heat exchanger have passed strength and tightness tests.
